  Review
Doctor Zach Harliegh realized there was something different about Raven Sanderson, however by the time he learned the truth, it was already too late because Zach was well on his way to falling in love with Raven.

They Walk Among Us is an intriguing blend of mystery, action and romance. Everyone is on a mission; some of the missions are more complex than others. Zach was part of a rebel group but he did not completely trust them. Like many people, Zach did not believe the publicized propaganda, so he did his own studies as well as formed his own opinions. Because of his knowledge acquired over the years regarding the aliens, Zach was constantly hounded by the government who wanted him to join their research team.

Raven is more than he appears to be to the humans. He has capabilities the human population could never imagine. Upon first meeting Zach, Raven thought only to enlist Zach’s aid for his mission, yet the more time Raven spent with Zach, Raven began to realize he and Zach could possibly have a future together.

T. A. Chase has created an impressive and enjoyable saga that illustrates the fears in addition to the perverted mentalities in a large number of the populace. They Walk Among Us exhibits the message of that which we fear, we try to destroy.

Gravitational Attraction by Angel Martinez

 Genre: {M/M} Science Fiction Paperback

A mysterious distress call draws the crew of courier ship Hermes to what appears to be an empty, drifting troop vessel--empty except for the blood and gore spattered corridors and a lone survivor locked in a holding cell. Drawn to the handsome, traumatized man, the crew’s comm officer, Isaac Ozawa, makes Turk his personal responsibility, offering him the kindness and warmth he needs after the horror he experienced.

Isaac knows firsthand what it’s like to be different and an outcast, and this cements their bond. Once a promising pilot, Isaac was left with a damaged body when his brain didn't meld with the high-tech implant needed to fly fighter ships. Turk’s brain is no better. The result of a military experiment gone wrong, his natural abilities have been augmented to a dangerous degree.

When an amoral, power-hungry admiral kidnaps Isaac and uses him to convince Turk to become the cataclysmic weapon he’s hungered for, it will take Turk’s strength, the ingenuity of the Hermes crew, the help of the enigmatic Drak’tar, and Isaac’s own stubborn will to save them.

Trained as a fighter pilot, Isaac Ozawa is the only Hermes crew member forcibly discharged from the military. A flawed implant operation has rendered Isaac too unstable to pilot a space ship. But as the communication officer for the Hermes, a non-military cargo ship, Isaac is a benefit. Especially in the search and rescue of Turk, a Corzin warrior who has been surgically enhanced by the military.

Gravitational Attraction is a hang-on-to-your-seat powerful action space adventure with a little romance on the side. The tough-as-nails characters are exceedingly convincing. The creative settings are partly in space and part on Turk’s home planet. From the moment Turk was rescued, Isaac felt an unexplained connection with the man and felt compelled to stay close. Turk also was feeling the invisible connection with Isaac. However, Turk recognizes that Isaac is his soul mate. Isaac and Turk’s hearts beat as one. They find peace and comfort only in each other’s arms.  The whole plot is fascinating; I particularly enjoyed the characters’ good-natured verbal interactions, the illustration of honor, as well as the total acceptance of worthy people into the Corzin family units. Of course there must be a villain; in this plot it is a psychotic, sinister menace to everyone.

Angel Martinez has created a magnificent saga blending intense conflict, humor, poetic sensuality along with compassion. Gravitational Attraction is absolutely a must read for all M/M science fiction fans.

Title: The Dark Side
Author: Laura Baumbach
Series: Reese Holt #1
Genre: MM Contemporary
Publisher: MLR Press

Kidnap victim Alex Throne literally drops into the arms of security specialist Reese Holt, pulling Holt into a battle against a ruthless drug cartel, personal betrayal, and a specter from Holt's CIA past.

Holt agrees to put his team of specialists on the trail of Alex's assailants while he takes on the personal job of protecting the life he inadvertently saved, motivated, in part, by a romantic attraction.

Keeping his mind on protecting Alex could prove difficult, especially when he can't keep his mind off Alex's body.

My Review - 5 Stars

As a child Alex Throne was taught to stay calm and think of an escape plan. Those lessons served adult Alex well when he was kidnapped. Unfortunately, Alex’s only escape was a fall into the ocean; fortunately Alex fell within reach of Reese Holt.

The Dark Side is the first book in the Reese Holt series. The plot is like a deadly complex puzzle, each piece is a clue adding to the big picture of the perpetrator’s identity. The plot exhibits a touching good vs. evil description, making it easy to feel emotionally involved in the down-to-earth, sometimes amusing characters.

Alex is a modest man that becomes the pawn in this thriller, he has no interest in taking over his billionaire father’s companies. Instead Alex chose to do part of the accounting work as a concession to his father’s concern for safety plea. Although Alex was not involved in the company’s main operations, he was targeted because of his highly intelligent accounting skills as well as a threat to any corruption within the company.

Security specialist Reese Holt is the owner of Overlap Security Service, a company that deals with high risk assignments. Reese, along with his staff, are all compassionate, highly skilled, the best of the best former military. Though Reese and his team are classified as civilians, they perform their missions in a precision military manner.

Rather than the billionaire’s request to hire him after returning Alex to his home, it is the hint of a mutual attraction between them that influenced Reese to become Alex’s bodyguard. Each new concentrated attack on Alex’s life garners more multifaceted clues until the list of suspects emerged and the quarry is finally captured.

The Dark Side is an excellent enjoyable saga. The engaging main characters are well-matched with similar backgrounds and personality traits. The combat style fighting is intense with a few surprises included. The criminals are a cold blooded nasty piece of work that inspires a cheer when they were eliminated.

Demon Duke Paranormal Nobles #2 By S.J. Frost

http://www.mlrbooks.com/ShowBook.php?book=SJFDDUKE

Calvin Blackwood is a healing witch, still learning his craft. Sadly, Calvin’s magical powers are not strong enough to heal his ailing brother, but Calvin can summon Sal, a demon duke who has a fondness for humans, especially Calvin.

Demon Duke is the second book in the Paranormal Nobles series. The well-written plot is a combination of compassion, a touch of drama and characters that are believable, as well as incredibly hilarious.

Having loss their parents to ill health, Calvin’s older brother Nathan is the only family Calvin has left. Calvin and Nathan are very close and do whatever they can to help each other even though their beliefs are extremely different.

Calvin knows if he summons a demon, he will be expected to compensate the demon with sexual favors. That being said, Calvin also knows that summoning Sal for help will be a price he is more than willing to pay since he is already attracted to the sexy demon.
Sal is an unusual demon in that he forms emotional relationships; Sal enjoys socializing with humans and vampires. Vampire prince Valentin and his cousin Basil are Sal’s best friends. Sal secretly loves Calvin though Sal refuses to admit it. The only relatable demon traits Sal has is his enormous sexual appetite, his battle abilities along with his superior magical powers.

S.J. Frost has created an outstanding saga. The interactions between the characters is truly entertaining, I think Sal is my favorite character because he is a clever, boastful, sweet talking, badass. Although Calvin is a badass when necessary, he’s normally a little more reserved than Sal.

Vampire Prince Paranormal Nobles #1 By S.J. Frost

http://www.mlrbooks.com/ShowBook.php?book=SJF_VMPR

Every night, blood slave Sebastian Beaumont along with the other slaves must endure the same ritual. Line up on display to be selected as a vampire’s evening meal. Until one night, vampire prince Valentin Wyndham chooses Sebastian. Suddenly Sebastian’s desire for freedom turns into a wish to be Valentin’s exclusive captive.

Vampire Prince is a captivating story of expressive compassionate characters as well as a poignant plot. The setting is Savannah, Georgia.

Sebastian has a strong-willed personality, which has assisted him in staying alive regardless of the physical and emotional abuse bestowed on him for years. Sebastian’s superior logic tells him that escape from the blood house is impossible, only death at the hands of his captors is to be expected. Nevertheless, Sebastian still yearns for a glimpse of sunshine before his demise.

Valentin has a volatile personality similar to Sebastian’s. The difference is Valentin has the power to bend his combatants to his will. Valentin has a strong aversion to bullies, pretenders along with deceitfulness. All of which can be found at the blood house. Born into nobility, Valentin continues to exhibit a sense of upper class traits in his style of apparel. However, Valentin is slowly becoming open to Sebastian’s fashion advice.

S.J. Frost has created a superb thoroughly enjoyable saga. All the elements of a captivating plot are illustrated. The storyline features villainous exploits, bigotry, humorous interactions between characters, sensual intimacy scenes as well as heart stirring dialog.
