Have you ever been somewhere minding your own business when suddenly you make random eye contact with a stranger handsome and suddenly everything inside of you sits up and takes notice? In that brief moment something switches on inside of you and when you look back again that electric thrill of arousal burns through your body, from nothing more than one innocent look. It’s amazing how much we communicate with our eyes and how our bodies are programmed to read that connection made without words. More often than not the woman will flush and look away, only to steal another peek back at the man who has sent her a very loud and clear, but silent broadcast that he wants her, now.

Women are by far more adept at reading body language than men. Some argue that it’s an evolutionary necessity, that women recognize both potential danger and a potential mate clearly from a distance. Others argue that the eyes are truly windows to the soul, that through our gaze we give the world a glimpse of our spirit. Myself, I think it’s a little of both. A man with a really good, dominant, I’m going to throw you up against a wall and fuck you, and I’m going to do it well, gaze has always made my knees weak. A great example of this is the yummy model on the cover of ‘Ivan’s Captive Submissive’ Julian Christian (he’s a sexy beast, Google away).

There is just something about his look, his posture, the way he projects himself that clearly lets every woman looking at the cover of my book know that he means business. A perfect image for the hero of the book, Ivan. Much like Julian he has that certain something that can make a woman’s heart beat just a little bit faster with a simple look. He certainly captures the leading lady of ‘Ivan’s Captive Submissive’, Gia’s attention the moment their eyes meet. A slight dilation of the pupils, a softening of the lips, a subtle shift in a man’s stance that brings to mind a predator looking at his prey, all ways we broadcast our interest and arousal to the opposite sex.

But I think it goes beyond just the physical. I think that when we gaze into someone’s eyes like that we’re also feeling their energy, that intangible substance that some call a soul and others insist doesn’t even exist. It’s that energy, that essence of ourselves that binds or repels us from another person. I’m sure all of you have met a man that by all conventional wisdom you should find attractive, but when your gaze meets there’s no sparks, no nothing. Whatever it is that makes you view a man as a mate is just missing. On the flip side of that I’m equally sure that you’ve been around a man that might not be considered exceptionally handsome, but when you look into his eyes it’s all you can do to keep from melting into a hormonal puddle at his feet. It’s that connection, that instant moment of recognition that Ivan and Gia experience together. That perfect breath when everything falls into place and somewhere deep inside you know that this person is going to have an enormous impact on your life.

With Ivan and Gia the reading of body language goes a bit further due to their BDSM relationship. A good Dom has to be able to read not only his sub’s verbal clues, but also how their body responds. Often the human mind will get too caught up in what it believes is right and wrong, or more often in the case of women, if embracing their sexuality and their needs makes them a slut. It is then the Dom’s responsibility to push past those stupid social norms that insist women only have sex for breeding purposes and give their submissive permission to embrace the sexuality, to revel in it and be truly free.

Ivan does this with Gia, in a rather spectacular way. There is nothing that she wants, nothing that she desires that he wouldn’t do for her…except share her with another man. Through his ability to read Gia, and through her gift to him of her trust they are able to go deep into one another’s souls, and not only through sex. Just watching each other, looking into each other’s eyes as they lay in bed is incredibly intense.

And the sex between Ivan and Gia, the intimacy….well let’s just say that I hope you have a cold drink, a spare pack of batteries or a man nearby because you’re going to need them…often. ;)

When Gia Lopez signs up for the Submissive's Wish Charity Auction she has no idea that she's about to be bought by a Russian Dom who will do anything to make her fantasies come true. Including staging an elaborate kidnapping that Gia believes is real. Ivan is instantly drawn to Gia and he wants to be the best Master she's ever had. As he spends time with Gia he begins to have intense feelings for the strong, independent, and sexy American woman. He's only won a week of her service but wishes to keep her forever.

Unaware of Ivan’s true feelings, Gia fights her growing emotional attachment to him. All she wants is to settle down with a nice Dom in the United States, continue her career, and live a normal life. However, Ivan sets a plan into motion that will push Gia to all of her limits and take her on a global journey of self-discovery, extreme pleasure, and love.

Warning: Contains Erotic Spanking, Subspace, f/f situations, a devastatingly sexy Dom who knows what he wants, and a submissive that just might be ready to give him what he needs.

About the Author

Ann is Queen of the Castle to her wonderful husband and three sons in the mountains of   West Virginia. In her past lives she's been an Import Broker, a Communications Specialist,   a US Navy Civilian Contractor, a Bartender/Waitress, and an actor at the Michigan   Renaissance Festival. She also spent a summer touring with the Grateful Dead-though she   will deny to her children that it ever happened.
From a young age she's been fascinated by myths and fairytales, and the romance that   often was the center of the story. As Ann grew older and her hormones kicked in, she   discovered trashy romance novels. Great at first, but she soon grew tired of the endless   stories with a big wonderful emotional buildup to really short and crappy sex. Never a big fan of purple prose, throbbing spears of fleshy pleasure and wet honey pots make her giggle, she sought out books that gave the sex scenes in the story just as much detail and plot as everything else-without using cringe worthy euphemisms. This led her to the wonderful world of Erotic Romance, and she's never looked back.

Now Ann spends her days trying to tune out cartoons playing in the background to get into her 'sexy space' and has learned to type one handed while soothing a cranky baby.
