Rio Hardin decides to call it a night and go to his rented room when a large guy grabs his shoulder and offers to pay for sex. A runaway turned street hustler, Rio needs rent money so he accepts the guy’s offer. That guy turns out to be Kevin Sutter, a sadistic alpha werewolf. Rio is bitten and held captive by Sutter for weeks before he is rescued.

The Committee for Supernatural Behavioral Enforcement had received reports of Sutter’s activities and sent enforcer and werewolf Mick Matranga to arrest Sutter. When Mick confronts Sutter, it ends with a fight to Sutter’s death. Mick then moves on to the other part of his mission of rescuing the used and abused Rio.

Altered Heart is an emotionally gripping well written plot with realistic circumstances that most people can relate to. Rio is a runaway who has suffered many abuses. Survival is his only motivation for being a hustler; there is no pleasure in the acts he must perform to live. He has lost his ability to trust strangers and separates his emotions from his body.

Surviving all the abuse he has endured, Rio’s mental state is still capable of having reasonable judgment and the more time he spends with Mick, the more Rio realizes that Mick has no hidden agenda and is not the enemy; the desire to be with Mick begin to surface.

Mick is an honorable and compassionate man who can be a bad ass when it comes to people breaking the law and abusing others. His wolf knows that Rio is his mate, but Mick denies his instincts rather than push Rio into something that he is not prepared to deal with.

All of that changes when Rio is facing his first full moon change, Mick endeavors to ease the pain by giving Rio sexual pleasure, which also serves to bond the mates, making two wolves very happy at last.

The extraordinary Kate Steele has the ability to engage your heart, mind and libido in this compelling story that exhibits the plight of runaways; some of the obstacles they face and the social awareness of a few caring individuals. The real life characters lured me into the saga and held me spellbound to the very end of this tantalizing, thought provoking and very sensual tale. Altered Heart is a keeper to be read more than once.

Dear Readers,

Thank you for allowing me to share with you the workings of my overactive imagination. While being permitted to put these thoughts into words is a pleasure, providing enjoyment to others by doing so, goes beyond even my wildest dreams.

I love romance and all the difficulties faced by those striving to make a relationship work. My characters live lives in various worlds; paranormal, contemporary and science fiction, all packed with emotion and erotic heat designed to ignite not only your heart, but other parts as well.

Within the pages of my various works, reviewers have found "creative well-paced plots", "sexy characters" and "heart-warming and hilarious scenes". I hope you too will find these and more.

Author Bio:
Having been an avid reader of romance for years, and being possessed of an overactive imagination, I decided to try my hand at writing.

I discovered that, like reading, writing is addictive. Whether writing paranormal, contemporary or science fiction romances about werewolves, other worldly creatures or the average Joe, I found the perfect creative outlet.

As for the everyday details, I live in a turn of the century house in the midst of Indiana farm country, and am kept company by my family, along with dogs and other assorted pets. When not writing, I read, am an enthusiastic grower of iris, and a fanatic fan of Japanese manga and anime.

Author: A. J. Llewellyn and D.J. Manning
Series Title: BDSM Voyages, #1
Publisher:  Torquere Press
Release Date:  2/17/16
Genre:  Contemporary, Gay Fiction, BDSM, Humor

Synopsis

Hamish never thought he’d want to be dominated until Paul Murdock showed up with the key to his padlocked heart.

It’s been said that all a submissive can do when they are bound and tied, is feel. For former boxer Hamish Murdock, all he’s ever done is feel. Feel bad that is. He never took pleasure from pain until meeting Paul, whom he thinks of as his tikkun, the man who rights all the wrongs in his life. For Paul and Hamish, pain is pleasure in their most secret, private moments. On the outside, they are a normal, devoted couple with successful businesses…

But deep down, theirs is a strict D/s relationship that’s about to be tested in their first BDSM vacation. Paul’s chosen a secret destination for Hamish in their Valentine’s Day long-weekend. Can Hamish handle what Paul has in mind? More importantly, will Paul be able to keep his secret and keep his man under control? Or will their first BDSM voyage be their last?

Excerpt
In the house, Paul held me in his arms and kissed me. “Toy time,” he said and pushed himself away from me. He walked away in the darkness. Until I met him, I’d been afraid of the dark. Had been since I was a kid. Now I liked all kinds of light, especially night. I suppose because nighttime was when I got to have him to myself, when our workday was over. We’d fooled around with a couple of guys and it was always fun but I trusted him. I never got a sense that he was about to run off with some other guy, no matter how cute he was.

I followed him to our bedroom. He disappeared into the walk-in closet where he kept our most secret sex toys. My heart skipped a beat. Oooh, fun!

I write not only for my own pleasure, but for the pleasure of my readers. I can't remember a time in my life when I haven't written and told stories. When I'm not writing, I'm dreaming about writing. Eroticism between consenting adults, in all its many forms is the icing on the cake of life but one does not live by sex alone. The story of how two people find love in spite of the odds is what really turns me on.

But she's untouchable. Off limits. And the most captivating woman I've ever met
I've never wanted a woman they way I want my business partner's little sister. But I've learned to hold back when it comes to the seductively innocent Eva.
Until the day she asks me to teach her everything. Absolutely everything. Every position, every seductive trick, every wicked, forbidden way I've ever pleasured the women I've brought home.
I've promised to protect this girl, but there's only so much a man can resist...
***
I've wanted him for years.
Jack Bennett is sinfully gorgeous, utterly charming, and, as rumor has it, a GOD in bed.
The time has come to shed my virginity, join the ranks of women having sex in the city, and learn how to please a man.
Who else would I ask but him? My teenage crush, and the only man who has ever made my bones melt with one dark, sinful look.
The problem is--someone doesn't want me to move beyond the fear and pain of the past, and that someone is closing in on me..

Excerpt:
The bartender approached her. As she opened her mouth to order, he said, “You’re Eva?”
She straightened, surprised. “Yes.”

He slid a vodka martini, her favorite drink, over to her. Underneath the glass, on top of the Sky Deck napkin, was a folded note. She felt her face flush as she reached for it. He’s going to tell me he made a mistake. He’s going to say he can’t make it. The breeze on her body suddenly felt like ice, prying the goosebumps up from her skin. She unfolded the note and read, Go to the restroom.

Eva wrinkled her nose. Well, okay. Peeing. That sounds romantic.

She’d heard a hundred stories about how smooth Jack was. She’d seen him in action enough as well. He could charm the panties off any girl, just by leaning in, touching her hand, and talking to her like she was the most important woman in the world. Eva had always thought she’d probably faint dead away if he ever focused his attention on her. Not that she hadn’t fantasized about it— she had, a million times, but a bathroom break had never been part of those dreams. Her knees wobbled as she took a small sip of her drink, then a larger one.

Then she downed the whole thing in one long gulp. She needed it.

Licking her lips, she slid off the stool and headed down the hallway toward the restrooms, her equilibrium slightly off in the four-inch peep-toe heels Georgie had insisted on. When she closed the door behind her, she checked her reflection in the mirror. Despite the alcohol swirling inside her, she looked terrified.

She took a deep breath. Then another. “Calm down, dammit!” she commanded in her best, gruff Georgie voice. “You can do this.”

She opened the door and stepped outside again, feeling only slightly better about herself. She didn’t have time to worry much more, however. Before she could head out of the hallway, a door opened to her side and a heavy hand clamped around her upper arm, pulling her into a darkened room.

She blinked, her eyes adjusting to the dimness as a voice hissed, “Don’t ever drink a cocktail that you haven’t personally watched the bartender pour.”

Jack.
Talking like that, he sounded like Antonio. She opened her mouth to tell him she could take care of herself, but before she could, his mouth found hers, needy, urgent. His tongue expertly delved into her mouth, staking a claim.

She’d spent so many nights thinking about the taste and feel of his lips, but the fantasy could never have matched this. He tasted like she’d thought he would, like mint and Cubans and that insanely sexy aftershave that he wore. Holy crap, Jack Bennett is kissing me. The thought flittered through her mind for the briefest of moments before she went completely numb to everything but the intense sensation of heat— everywhere, exploding like a thousand fireworks inside her.

Jack wrapped his arms around her and tangled his fingers in her hair, keeping her mouth to his, assuring her there was nothing half-hearted about this encounter. Either he wanted this as much as she did, or he was very good at pretending.

No, this wasn’t pretend. He was in. All in. His tongue, lips, teeth, and powerful chest pressed to hers.

His lips drifted down her jaw line, and he tugged aside the fabric of her dress, finding her collarbone. His hand roughly cupped her breast, his thumb rubbing the outline of her hard nipple. His touch sent sparks racing through her. Her entire body screamed with arousal as he tilted her head back, leaving her to stare helplessly up at the ceiling light. Her head spun as his tongue snaked its way down her neck.

“First lesson,” he rasped against her skin.

Coming Soon:
Take Me
I want more of her. All of her.
I want to drive her wild every single night until she's learned all the sinfully wicked things I need to teach her.
But someone is trying to tear us apart. Someone’s gunning for my company too. What they don’t know is that I’m the kind of man who protects what's his.
My family, my business, and this woman.
I will do whatever it takes.
Just try me.

Vegas Sin by Jambrea Jo Jones

Title: Vegas Sin
Author: Jambrea Jo Jones
Publisher: Pride Publishing
Genre: {M/M} Romantic Suspense

Hi there, Jambrea Jo Jones here! Today I’m going to give you a small introduction to one of my characters from Vegas Sin. In this little bit I am interviewing my character, Harrison, about a good birthday memory.

“Hello, Harrison. Thanks for chatting with me.”

Harrison looks around as if trying to find an escape route.

“Um, Yeah. Okay.” Harrison tugged at his collar.

“I’m not going to bite. Just relax. We’re here celebrating birthdays so I figured I’d ask you about one of your memories.” I pat Harrison’s knee.

“I can do that.” He looks back and I see Owen standing in the door giving him silent encouragement.

“Okay.”

“You mean, now?”

“Yeah, go ahead. Tell us about a memorable birthday.”

“All right. Um… it was a few years ago. Is that okay?”

“It sure is.” I lean forward ready to hear about his best memory.

“I had been in the military for a few years and there was a group of MPs I was good friends with. Ethan, my best friend and his boyfriend Mac.”

“Boyfriend?”

“Well, yeah, but it wasn’t widely known. DADT was still in place at the time. Anyway, we’d been out in the desert.” Harrison held out a hand, “Before you ask, yes, overseas.

The sandbox. Whatever you want to call it, we were there. Had been for months. I didn’t really have the best home life. I was happy to be out of there and on my own.”

“Wait—and this is you best memory?”

“Am I telling this or are you?”

“Sorry. Sorry. Okay, I’m listening.”

“Usually I don’t do much for my birthday. It really is just another day. Up until this point no one had ever made a big deal out of it.

I came in from a patrol. Ethan was with me and Mac wasn’t on rotation this time. We walk into the mess hall they have set up and the whole platoon of MPs start singing happy birthday to me.

See, Mac and Ethan rounded them all up and got them to donate goodies they’d received in care packages so I could have a good birthday. I smiled for days after that. It was the nicest thing anyone had ever done for me.

Well—until I met Owen.” Harrison got a special smile on his face that I’m sure was reserved for Owen.

“Wow. Thank you for sharing that and thank you for serving our country.” I got up and hugged him.

Vegas Sin blurb:
Sex, weddings and gambling hold a back seat to kidnapping and murder in the city of sin…
Owen Carpenter sets aside one night each month to relax at the Totally Five Star, but a case has just landed on his desk that has those nights disappearing for the foreseeable future.

Someone is kidnapping women in Las Vegas and Owen needs to stop them before the women end up dead.

Harrison Boone is head of security at the Totally Five Star. He notices a man who comes in once a month and he wants to know more about him. When Owen introduces himself, there’s an instant attraction between Harrison and Owen, but they are interrupted by a kidnapping—at his hotel.

After Harrison leaves the military, the hotel becomes his life, so Harrison will do anything to keep the hotel out of the news and protect its reputation.

Can Owen and Harrison find love in Sin City, or will the case of the disappearing women

Excerpt from Vegas Sin:
Owen Carpenter strolled through the precinct like he hadn’t a care in the world. He whistled some song that was on the radio before he shut the car off. Now it would be stuck in his head all day. He might as well share it with others. What could he say, he was a giver.

It helped the façade he put on for others and it drove his partner nuts when he did it, which was a plus. He always had the outward appearance of being calm and that everything was right in the world. He had to or he’d go batshit crazy and he couldn’t have that. He was armed, after all, and it could be dangerous for a cop to go all mental. He needed to be focused, and if pushing his issues back helped, he’d do it all day.

Owen tried to keep his private and work lives separate. That didn’t always happen, because his partner liked to give him a hard time, which was why Owen did his best to drive Jeff crazy. Of course they were more like brothers than partners. Most days that was a good thing, especially when Jeff’s wife sent in muffins for him.

The best was when Sally came in and personally handed him some goody to make sure Owen got some. Jeff hated that and tried to steal his goodies, but Sally made sure Owen was taken care of.

This morning was one for the books, that was for sure. One of those days he wished he could do over. His sister and niece had been kicked out of their latest apartment the night before, so they were shacked up with him for the duration. He had to haul all their stuff to his place, and it was a mess. At least he had a garage to hold some of the stuff. Not that his sister was kicked out of her home every day, but Susan wasn’t the best with her money on a good day. He tried to help the best he could, but she didn’t always appreciate her big brother butting his nose into her business. At least Susan hadn’t gone back to the booze.

That would add a whole other set of issues he really didn’t want to deal with. He’d helped get her dry once and hoped like hell it stuck because he didn’t know if he could go through that again.

His niece, Gabbi, was a sweetheart, and he’d do anything for her. She was only nine and cute as a button with her long blonde hair and big blue eyes. Yeah, he might be wrapped around her little finger, but he didn’t know if he’d ever do kids, so she might be all he ever had. He planned to spoil her as much as possible. When the time came, he’d make sure she was treated right by whoever she wanted to date. If he let her date. She was an old soul who acted more like Susan’s mom on most occasions, which made him want to pamper Gabbi even more.

His own mom had trouble dealing with two new people in her space—when she remembered it was her space. The Alzheimer’s was getting worse. It was hard enough most days when she didn’t remember him, but now she kept asking who the two hussies were and why they were in her house. Gabbi didn’t fully understand why her grandma couldn’t remember her and called her names.

His mom was in the process of being moved to a new home this week because taking care of her was just too much. He hated the fact that she had to go, but it was past time. A nurse came by to sit with her while he worked. The only problem with that was that they didn’t always send the same person and it got confusing for his mom.

If she was in a home, she could get used to the same people. It would give her a bit of the stability she’d lost the last few years. At least with his sister at the house, he could get some help with their mom—not that Mother would remember either of them—but Susan needed to help out.

Breakfast had been a disaster with his mom dumping her food on the floor and stomping out of the room like a cranky two year old. Poor Gabbi had had to do some clean up, because Susan had decided to sleep in, and he’d been running late for work. He made a note to take Gabbi to a movie or shopping for the weekend. If she really wanted to go, he’d take her, even if he hated going to the mall.

Harrison Boone, head of security at the Totally Five Star Hotel is the perfect stress relief for Detective Owen Carpenter. Unfortunately, before Harrison and Owen could do more than exchange names, a woman was reported missing from a wedding shower in progress there at the hotel.

Vegas Sin is Part of the Totally Five Star imprint. The plot is a well paced thriller featuring a budding romance between Harrison and Owen. The secondary characters add a touch of humor to the story.  But the main character is the psychotic kidnapper who is realistically terrifying.

Character Profiles
Owen is a compassionate man dedicated to taking care of his ailing mother, his sister and his sister’s young daughter. Having a career in law enforcement is a family tradition for Owen.

Harrison is an honorable man formerly in the armed forces; he does his job with highly efficient accuracy. Since Harrison has no family living in Vegas, he thinks of the employees’ as part of his extended family. Harrison takes personal pride in the superbly prepared sociable elegance the hotel offers their guest.

The person responsible for the kidnappings is the worst kind of person imaginable. He is the very definition of a functioning sociopath, a meticulous planner; who lacks empathy or remorse, he is a predator aroused by the thrill of killing. The Perpetrator is so withdrawn from reality that he believes himself invincible. The driving force of his psychosis is his delusions of grandeur.

Jambrea Jo Jones has created an exceptionally impressive as well as enjoyable suspense saga. Suspense is the main theme of this story; however there are a few sizzling intimacy scenes illustrated as Owen and Harrison’s association cultivates into a relationship.
