Sweet Secrets by Constance Munday

To celebrate the release of Sweet Secrets, Totally Bound are giving you the chance to win a bundle of eBooks.

Blurb for Sweet Secrets:
What will happen when dark secrets threaten a perfect recipe for happiness and newfound love?
Left on her own, Carrie Ann decides it is time to escape her past, empower herself and overcome her confidence issues by turning her secret hobby of erotic cake design into a business. Her world is then turned upside down when she bumps into dynamic and sexy Dominic. Unwittingly, Carrie Ann sows the seeds of disaster from day one, weaving a web of deceit, and before she knows it the lies are multiplying.
As news of her baking brilliance spreads, romance grows. Now, only one thing can ruin their happiness and that is Carrie Ann’s dark deceptions and the battle she is fighting within herself. Will she be strong enough to overcome a past that is set to destroy her dreams for the future and tell Dominic the truth, or will she lose him forever?

Often Hot and Sticky

Carrie Ann is not superior at the beginning of ‘Sweet Secrets,’ indeed she never becomes superior and is very understated. She has no cause to be bolshy because she has been educated in the school of hard knocks and she is an ordinary girl like you and I. There are no rich millionaires in this one, unless you count passing ships in the night like Marcus, the Michelin starred chef at The Manor, Latham Crosswick — world famous patissier and Carrie’s erotic dreamboat and in the end, Carrie Ann’s client, socialite Samantha, a woman who turns out to be an unlikely friend. So, sorry to disappoint you, no rich and successful leads in this one for you ladies. This book features on you and I, and what we might achieve if we were in Carrie Ann’s shoes. It also features on a love interest in Dominic, who while he might have a famous father, has eschewed nepotism in favour of making it on his own.
As all my books do, I hope this one is a message of hope and leaves you with the sense of, ‘I could do that.’ I set out for it to be about the normal kind of people you might encounter every day and in particular in a typical English village. I have also chosen an older woman and a younger man as my leads because romance has so many nuances. The fact Dominic is younger, is what spurs Carrie Ann into her deceit and soon things are spiralling out of control.
‘Sweet Secrets,’ is many things, so I hope it will appeal to a lot people. It is chicklit, it is romance and it is a touch of erotica while not being overpoweringly so. It is sweet, funny, often hot and sticky and at times it is a recipe for disaster, but by the end I hope it has become a nicely crafted gateau of interest. There are also moments that make you pause for thought, as you ponder the crisis Carrie Ann is in mentally and wonder how will she wrestle with the prison she has fashioned for herself, win the man she loves and chase her dream. I hope it leaves you with a sweet taste in your mouth by the last line because I loved writing it and so hope you will enjoy reading it.
